Advice From The Dentist
Visit your dentist once in 6 months
Regular exams or checkups are important to keep your teeth and gums healthy. During a professional cleaning, a dentist can evaluate your overall dental health for any issues. If you’re practicing a healthy oral hygiene routine, you should visit the dentist a minimum of once a year. Twice a year is recommended for those who have had dental work, such as a cavity, in the last 3 years. This allows the dentist to catch early signs of oral health issues before they get worse.
Don’t Forget to Floss!
Brushing cleans the tops and sides of your teeth, but flossing cleans in between them where your toothbrush can’t reach. Dental floss removes plaque and debris that adhere to teeth and gums; it also helps to polish tooth surfaces and control bad breath.
Don’t rush when you brush!
Brushing your teeth is something most of us try to get done quickly right as we’re about to run out the door or crawl into bed. This simple daily activity is the most basic way we can keep our smiles healthy! Most dentists, recommend brushing at least twice a day for at least two minutes.
